Qwiklabs give you temporary credentials to Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services, so you can learn the cloud using the real thing – no simulations. From 30-minute individual labs to multi-day courses, from introductory level to expert, instructor-led or self-paced, with topics like machine learning, security, infrastructure, app dev, and more.
Things you need for applying:
A student mail id, if you have the legit one you can use that(but not all of them are accepted by Google), if you don't have any you can create HERE by this method for free.
Steps for applying for credits and courses:
Go to this link HERE. Scroll down, you will see a page like as shown below.
Google will ask you some info about you, enter the information like name, E-mail address, country, state, your role, name of an academic institution, and expected number of students(you can fill any number between 50- 100, in case it is showing you in form, it doesn't affect in any way) as shown in the image below.
You can only apply for those colleges which are in the list of Google( you went to know when you start typing in Institution name), that's why we are submitting this form hereby Community College of Philadelphia, as shown in the image below.
After entering all the information, click on the 'Submit' button at the last of the form.
After clicking on the 'Submit' button it will show you a message like this.
After submitting your form, you will also see a message like this in your mail id inbox.
Now wait for some days and you will see a message like as shown below.
Now in the case of Coursera and course mail, you have to click on 'Join Now', and in the case of Qwiklabs credits mail, you have to follow the second mail, shown below, from there you can set your password from there.
One thing to note here is, these credits are not only for Google Cloud Platform, you can use them for Amazon Web Services labs, let's also take a look at how you can do this.
When you are accessing Qwiklabs website their default landing page is 'https://www.qwiklabs.com', you can directly switch it from here, you have to just change the 'www' to 'amazon' now URL will look like this: 'htpps://amazon.qwiklabs.com', now you have access to all Amazon Web Services labs.
In the case of Google, just change 'www' to 'google', now URL will look like this: 'https://google.qwiklabs.com', now you have access to all Google Cloud Platform labs.
Don't do any type of suspicious activity during labs, Qwiklabs will ban your account, you have to only do, which is stated in the lab manual.
The good thing is you can apply again and again for credits, not for courses, from the same mail address, and by filling the form HERE. As shown in the image below. In the same process, you have to just select the 'Qwiklabs credits' option and that's it.
I have got 600 credits for Qwiklabs like this, I recommend using VPN and connect that to USA server, during applying for credits and courses.
That's it for this post, hope you like it, if you like to share it with your friends if you have any recommendations let us know in the comments.
